The route “Holy Places of Undivided Christianity” was the main topic of the presentation of Russian cultural institutions and regions “Russia and Spain: dialogue through culture and educational tourism”, held on November 30, 2018 in the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Madrid.

“Spain can contribute to the development of this initiative. It is an important country for Russia in terms of cultural and spiritual tourism projects”, emphasized, presenting the project, session moderator Miguel Palacio, head of the "Holy Places of Undivided Christianity" Association, advisor to the General Director of the Margarita Rudomino All-Russia State Library for Foreign Literature.

The attendees were also addressed by Anastasia Oksyuta (Deputy Minister and Head of the Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Kaluga Region), Alina Volynets (Head of the Support Tourist Sector  Department of the St. Petersburg State Budgetary Institution "City Tourist Information Bureau"), Elena Bogdanova (Director of the State Historical, Architectural and Ethnographic Museum-Reserve “Kizhi”), Olga Khomova (General Director of the State Academic Capella of St. Petersburg), Margarita Godina (Head of the Department of Organizational and Exhibition Activities of the State Museum of the History of Russian Literature named after V.I. Dalia), Galina Alekseeva (Head of the research work of the Museum-Estate L.N. Tolstoy “Yasnaya Polyana”).

The Spanish side made speeches by Juan Antonio Martinez Camino, Vicar Bishop of Madrid, who reminded us that one of the main themes uniting Russia and Spain is the Christian martyrs of the 20th century, and by Luna Aguilar, director of the Picasso Museum and the Pompidou Center in Malaga, which cooperates with the Russian Museum for years and presents the exhibition of Olga Khokhlova (Picasso Museum) in February 2019.

The event was attended by representatives of Spanish travel companies specializing in cultural tourism, and journalists.

The presentation session was organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation with the assistance of the Association “Holy Places of Undivided Christianity”.
